The positive feedback we receive from our customers about our online church member directory program always encourages our staff! What a blessing to be serving churches across the United States as they serve the world!

“Six years ago I volunteered to chair my church’s directory committee. Our directory was a reflection of what was available at that time – a picture book of members who were good natured enough to dress in their “Sunday best,” attend a portrait session, and pose in front of a generic background. I believe about half of our church was represented. It was a nice directory, but it certainly didn’t reflect the diversity of my church family. My copy was eventually buried in a stack of papers and inadvertently filed away.
Fast forward to today. Our online directory has been available to our congregation for over 4 months. The directory is not filed away because it is on our church website and also in the purses and pockets of many members, thanks to CTRN’s free mobile app. Members have submitted pictures that reflect their personalities. One gentleman is climbing a mountain, another couple is pictured with Mickey Mouse. These pictures represent the diverse and interesting people we truly are.
Members of my congregation tell me they use the directory daily, whether to address a sympathy card, get directions when delivering meals to shut-ins, or simply to connect a name with a face.
The most popular part of our online directory is the Groups section that shows committees and committee members. My church recycles our bulletins, so it’s not at all unusual to get home and realize you also recycled information about the upcoming bake sale. Our online directory shows us who is on the bake sale committee and the best way to contact them. Stop and think about this for a minute – we have a visual representation of our committees, not just a typewritten list. We have never before had the benefit of seeing the smiling faces of an entire committee. Our online directory will be a valuable tool for our nominations committee. Imagine having names, faces and current responsibilities to study as you consider filling key leadership roles.
My church’s mission statement calls us to “care for one another in Christian love.” Our Online Church Directory is a valuable tool that empowers us to do just that.”
