GratitudeAs we launch into the new year, it is easy to quickly become buried in the common day to day hectic pace and forget the gift of hope and peace we celebrated just a few days ago. And, although I am not a big fan of making new year resolutions, I do believe the end of a year provides us a natural opportunity to reflect and redirect.

The Bible says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8) This is specific instruction, isn’t it? Think on what is good, right, lovely, and praiseworthy. How often do we stop and look for these things?

My intention for 2014 is to spend more time intentionally thanking God for blessings and to intentionally see the good, the positive, the happy and the praiseworthy things that come across my path, and to be grateful for each one.

And so today, January 2, I share with you this lovely video that reminds us about the importance of gratitude….and a positive and praiseworthy approach to today and every day.
